Location
We are located in northern New York State, a little over 2 hours drive from Montreal, Burlington, or Albany and about 5 hours from New York City or Boston. Within the Adirondacks, we are 12 minutes from Wilmington, 20 minutes from Saranac Lake, 28 minutes from downtown Lake Placid, and just under an hour from Plattsburgh.
Some camps are right off the road, but many are several miles out on well-maintained but sometimes rocky dirt roads. The speed limit on the property is generally ten miles per hour. Typical passenger cars will be fine, but do think twice before driving a low clearance sports car to camp on a muddy day. We do not generally plow the roads in winter and always close the roads when they turn to mud in late spring, so vehicular access is seasonal for many camps even though they are usable year-round. Camps can also be accessed on foot, by boat, by bike, and by snowmobile.
Cellular coverage is spotty in the Adirondacks and you will likely have no cell service between towns. We recommend downloading navigation information for offline access and printing physical directions the first time you visit the property. The nearest gas station is the Little Supermarket in Wilmington which closes at 8 or 9 PM, so plan accordingly.
